The Wizard of Earthsea Book review

The Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin is a good book although there were some flaws while reading it in my opinion. Ged a young boy from a small town of Ten Alders overhears the village witch performing her magic spells, so he decides to try it. The outcome was the sheep started running towards him. Later that day, the witch told him other spells and he started to learn till he was 12.

After, a person named Ogion took him and made him a wizard by sending him to a school for wizards and witches, called Roke. In Roke, he unleashed a shadow that would keep following him, while he kept running away. One of the flaws include was that the author spent to much time describing the book because when they came came on the ocean, then the author would spend too much time describing non relevant details. The book is also kind of like Harry Potter, because there are wizards and stuff. This book is overall a great book for several reasons, one including the fact how the author was able to combine many other people such as the characteristics of Spiderman, Frodo Baggins and Harry Potter.
