Actions Speak Louder Than Words

“Actions speak louder than words” is a saying from England by John Pym in the 1700s. It was a record in the proceeding of the United Kingdom’s parliament. The saying, “Actions speak louder than words” means what you do has a stronger impact than what you say. This maxim was said in order to teach people that actions carry more weight than words and will not be guaranteed if not done at first. Words are completely different from actions in many ways. Words are not greater than actions is false because with words you can communicate and learn, while with actions can cause physical pain and force us to undergo a certain circumstance. An example is if a child says that after one more game, he will come down to eat dinner, the father can never assure this to be true unless he witnesses the child do it. This maxim has also been used by famous people such as Abraham Lincoln in the Union Address. Overall, this maxim is very important, demonstrating that a doing something is greater than saying it.
